Which dog is better overall?

i agree with sheltie if your going to excersize or work him often. Id say no to the eskimo spitz my husband has one and she is very dainty and white. Fur is hard to keep up with. I wouldnt go for a dachshund either i have 2 and they love to hunt but id be would be to easy for them to get caught in something or easily be picked off by another animal. I would suggest you look into terriers maybe a airdale terrier of lakeland terrier if your going to spend money. Good luck
