Why is my dog acting weird?

My dog is a Shetland Sheepdog and she just got back from the kennel last night and ever since then she has been lying around the house and sleeping. She has been eating, though. I felt around her neck and heat is radiating from her body, almost like when you put your hand over boiling water.
