What lesson should I learn from my failed marriage?

I married my ex-wife without knowing that she is permanently deaf. This happened because my ex-wife's parents had diverted my attention by telling me that she is having defective speech which she has. I accepted her as my beloved wife and gave her all my love. She was the one begged me that I should never leave her. But she divorced me giving silly reasons that I eat non-veg food, I smoke occasionally, I drink beer occasionally, etc. We are basically from North Karnataka. My ex-wife is from Bangalore. I believe that North Karnataka women are more faithful to their husbands compared to the other people in Karnataka. What lesson should I learn from my failed marriage?
