Well I used to be a really depraved person and I was really into S&M for a while. Would a Old English Sheepdog be the right dog for us?

Seems like a great dog to have in the house for you guys. Biggest thing is exercise and they do shed quite a bit so grooming is definitelyyyyyyy required. I used to show a couple of them and I told myself I would never groom one again. Don't listen to the poodle person. Shaving a dog down is the worst thing you can do. Their coat helps insulate them in the summer and aids them to stay cool! If you shave a dog, you expose their skin to the sun and there are multiple problems that can occur there. You HAVE to make sure that this dog is disciplined as they sense very easily who is the leader and who is weak. They can be a very dominant breed but good luck!

Okay, my hair literally reaches my waist. Its that long. And i LOVE long hair. I really, really don't want to cut it. Of course I trim it, but I never want or am going to cut it short. About 3 months ago I shaved my pubic region because of length and i thought to help keep it from burning I applyied cocoa butter lotion over the area. About a day or 2 later, a series of red bumps popped up, and i figured that this was just razor burn so it didn't really bother me. After about a 4 days or so, the bumps had develops a white head (looked almost like a pimple or an infected hair). I got a little worried but figured it would just go away with regular hygiene and showers. Both my dogs were rescues and neither had their dewclaws removed. They can get caught on things very easy if they are not clipped regularly. We learned this the hard way when my dog ripped his dew claw off accidentally (He wasn't in much pain, but there was a lot of blood). Talk to your vet and see how much it will cost to have them removed. If you decide not to remove them your dog will be fine, just keep them cut short.

hi, first do short distances at home with one call... i would call my dog as DOLLY COME ( try to make voice higher when you yell come) i point to where i want her to be and treat as soon as she arrives. i typically get lower so i look more approachable. then move to back yard. than front yard while increasing the distance. always treat until they come EVERY time. move on to long leash at the park with treats, never repeat the word come. get their attention before you call.. it comes with time and practise. sometimes the brain comes with age. every pup goes through it. good luck!

Okay, where to begin. In late January I was admitted under an involentary treatment order to an acute adolsecent psychiactric ward, spent 5 months there (due to the fact i kept absconding and attempting suicide and to harm myself, thus why i was there so long) then after 5 months ones i was stable enough, which was about 10 days ago, they transferred me to an adolescent extended treatment psychiactric hospital, you have more freedom here, like you can have a mobile as long as it doesnt have a camera and you have internet access, i have ran away twice from here already, once on my 2nd day, in which a nurse ran after me and caught me, and then a couple days later i ran away to the train station and layed on the train tracks, the police came and got me off and brought me back, then i was on a special for a couple of days, and i share a room with 3 other girls, one of them gave me a razor blade so on Monday I self harmed, I also saved up my pills (I take 12 pills a day so in about 5 days I had about 50) and took them all at once, then attempted to strangle myself with the PS2 controller cord, apparently my face was turning blue and the doctor said had the nurses been 30 seconds later i would have been dead, i was kept in a seclusion gwn for 2 days and am now still on a special, have to be watched sleeping, showeirng and going to the bathroom, so on constant 24/7 supervision. Im having a difficult time adapting to this place, i mean it's not a terrible place, theres adventure therapy, outings, shopping, and school, so its set up for long term inpatient treatment, but part of me wants to die so badly and the thing is i am extremely impulsive, i do things, then i deeply regret doing them, and swear to myself i'll never do them again, and so sure at the time too, but i do them again. I'm worried I may runaway to the trainstation again, i think i will, i have no motivation to live, no motivation for life itself. im pretty much institutionalised, im here against my will because of the stupid involentary treatment order mental health act 2000. not even a lawyer can get me out of here, its like an old time mental insitution from the movie Girl, Interrupted. I just need some input, how do I cope with this, with being here, with my suicidal thoughts. Ive been on 60mg of prozac for two years, I was on resperidone but they took me off that because my prolactin levels were too high, so now im on seroquel, and i was on lorazapem, then they changed it to valium, and i was also on promethazine and melatonin, then when i came here they took me off it. So now I'm on valium, seroquel, prozac, ritalin and lithium. none of it really helps really. i feel like im insane. i just feel like ive completely lost my sanity, and i feel totally disconnected from the real world.

I have noticed within the past couple of months my son's mother has gotten a very large bump in her midsection and looks very much pregnant-- I'm talking 5 months along or so. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't care to know, because it is really none of my business. However, I feel that if she is pregnant then my son's behavior is inevitably going to continue to worsen (he's in kindergarten and has had 23 in-school suspensions for his behavior). If she can't get our son under control now, I can only imagine how much worse things will get if she has to divert so much of her attention to a new baby. It depends on the individual dog & their coat & environment. Doubtful you need a hour a day unless you are really slow at grooming or if dog's environment is wooded so stuff is easily getting picked up. I count on at least 10,15 min daily but doing a more thorough brushing/combing weekly. It does take work to maintain that coat & good thorough grooming to prevent tangles/mats.

Family member had 2 foot surgeries due to arthritis in their big toe before another doc took it out replacing it with a titanium joint. They had persistent swelling in the foot then the leg after scans & such it was thought to be a knee problem. They then still had problems in their foot resulting in them getting cortisone injections. They felt better but then started getting a bad itch so bad itch they would practically scrape the skin off between 2 of their little toes & around plus they started getting calloused skin on the ball of their foot. The doctor said they were walking unevenly not addressing the itch they had. Few more injections have followed now the itch has spread mostly now around where the new joint is & the ball of their foot is getting calloused skin on it. They say it feels like the itch is on the inside & it's so bad they say it feels like only a razor could take care of it. Also, when the doctor did the surgery, they didn't bother to shave some bone to make the toe straight again nor did they make the area smaller where the new joint went in as it had gotten really big in that area before the surgery. It went down enough they could wear a lot of their shoes again, but it's really annoying that nothing was adjusted. But the real concern is this bad itching with the ever growing callous. Also, they've been recently diagnosed with "Mortons" some kind of nerve disorder & 2-3 nails on their little toes are giving off the impression that they're dying. What in the world is going on? I have been researching many breeds of dogs over the last couple weeks as I am looking to get a dog when I move out after I am finished college. I'd say foundation, but as it's your armpits the sweat won't go well with that. Do you have a cover stick by any chance, it's less likely to melt and if you just have dots of red, you can use the stick to cover up the redness. In any case, don't freak out too much about it, there are worse things than having a few red dots under your armpits, you could've had a giant break-out on your face. Try the make-up, and keep using the cold cloth until you start getting ready, hopefully it'll diminish more of the redness. And remember you won't look hideous or anything because of some razor burn, it won't be that noticable.

Mom and girl problems! Please help me!?

So to start off I'm just going to say that my mom and I are kinda like really good friends. The only thing is that I have a hard time telling her stuff. Border collie/Lab mix VS Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) I have some questions! PLEASE answer!?

I don't know too much about Border Collies or Shelties but right now I do have a lab mix and from what I have experienced and heard, labs aren't all that great with younger kids, there are some that do really well with them and in the case of our dog, we have to crate him whenever kids come over and be really careful around strangers. As far as shedding goes I am always so surprised to see how much is shed in a weeks time year round. I don't think having one person home at all times would really annoy any dog, just so long as there isn't always someone pestering the dog (they need their alone time too) They should be just fine. Our lab mix isn't much of a barker, he only really barks when someone comes to the door or is walking by our yard while he is out there. I have never met any dog that loves to run as much as the one we have now, he requires a lot of exercise and gets most of it from me taking him on runs, throwing the ball (Definitely invest in a chuck-it if they like to fetch), and swimming. I know this probably doesn't help much but figured I would let you know my lab-mix experience! Good luck on getting a new dog!

Should I get a Border Collie or a Shetland Sheepdog?

I had border collie...it is an awesome breed, but I love them too much to ever have one again. Unless you intend to work your dog (on a farm), or are big into dog sports, I'd go for a less intense breed. They are not good first owner dogs (they are smart, but can be very manipulative) and are not happy unless you have time to engage them physically and mentally every day, for many hours. There are people who successfully keep border collies as family pets, but I really don't think this is fair to them. They need a lot more stimulation than most other dogs.

My dog's nipples have gotten a little bit larger, and she seems to be sleeping and laying down a lot. Another thing, my husband feeds her and our other dog once a day, a cup and a half at night. Most of the time, she will eat half of it and I guess save it for a "snack" in the middle of the night and it will all be gone by morning time. Well, recently, she has been eating it all at night before she goes to sleep. We don't want puppies at all. Recently, a lady moved in with us and brought her dog. They have a big fenced in area that our dogs run around in. The deal was, she kept her dog somewhere else because both of our dogs are girls and we didn't want any puppies. Our other dog is a Shetland Sheepdog and def don't want muts from a 1000 dollar dog. Her dog got in our dog's fence, and when we put him back, he gets back in. So its very possible. He sniffs her pee everytime she pees. So please no rude comments on "well you should have gotten your dog spayed or neautured." Because it wasn't our decision, we keep our dogs fenced in.

Some female health issues!?

So yeah =(, for the past few months since I started using a good ole fashion razor and started shaving, "down there." I would itch, but not badly down there. I have not had sex in seven months, so have not really been active. The itching started after I started shaving more and more, but it does not go away. I have not shaved now in three weeks, and the itching seems to only get worse. I notice that other parts of my body are beginning to itch like my upper back, my left ear itches, my hairline itches, and my clitoris is very sensitive.. the hairs are not fully grown, and I thought I had pubic lice at first because I saw these tiny white specs in my pubic hair for a while, and I read somewhere that it goes away if you shave or use RID. I shaved, and don't see the white specs anymore, nor did I ever notice them moving. When I read articles it says for lice pubic lice that the specs would move.. i'd sit there and stare and notice them not moving. Now I don't see any specs, but past few nights it seems the irritation has gotten worse. I have been waking up around two am unable to sleep because i'm itching so bad. I have a 4yo male Old English Sheepdog who is neutered and trimmed (2-3inches of hair). Bentley is an indoor dog and stays outside 8 hrs a day while I am at work.
